What Does The Silica Sand Extraction Need

The market demand for sand and gravel aggregates is increasing day by day, and the process design of silica sand extraction often becomes the primary concern of enterprises when investing in construction. The process design of the sand and gravel production line is mainly considered from the aspects of machine equipment selection, and workshop layout.

Host equipment selection

The sand and gravel aggregate production line can be simply summarized as crushing, screening, and storage. To obtain aggregate products with all indicators in line with the standard, the selection of the host equipment will become the primary choice for the design of the silica sand extraction production line.

1. Selection of feeding and screening equipment

Aggregate products have relatively high requirements for soil content. The silica sand extraction production line is generally equipped with a feeding device that can remove soil from the source before the material enters the coarse crushing. At this time, the vibrating screen feeder has become a better choice.

When the content of the soil in the raw material is small and the raw material is relatively dry, the size between the screen bars of the vibrating screen feeder can be adjusted to an appropriate value, and the soil can be screened out after the material passes through the feeder. When the raw material contains more soil or the raw material is more viscous, you need to consider slightly larger the size of the feeder screen. Most of the soil (lumps) waste is screened and then passed through a circular vibrating screen It is sieved clean, and the stones on the sieve of the earth-sieving circular vibrating screen can be re-entered into the secondary crusher to be crushed.

2. Selection of crushing equipment

It can be divided into two categories: extrusion crushers and impact crushers.
General squeeze crushers (such as gyratory crusher, jaw crusher, cone crusher) are suitable for harder rocks (such as granite, basalt, etc.).
Impact crushers (such as impact crushers, vertical shaft crushers, hammer crushers) are suitable for rocks with low hardness and low abrasiveness (such as limestone, etc.).

It should be noted that hammer crushers are rarely used in general aggregate production. Although the hammer crusher is a one-stage crushing process, the process is simple, but after the hammer is broken, the yield of large aggregates is low, easy to be crushed, and there are many powdered materials. The finished aggregate will produce micro-cracks and reduce the compressive strength, which affects the aggregate. Quality affects sales.

3. Selection of screening equipment for finished products

Generally, the circular vibrating screen is selected for the screening equipment in the aggregate industry. If you are worried about the low sieving rate, you can choose two finished vibrating screens.

Precautions for workshop layout

1. Before the crusher, the effective volume of the receiving hopper is selected

In general, the effective volume of the receiving hopper should meet the following two conditions at the same time.

a. No less than the workload of continuous operation of the crusher for 12-15 minutes.

b. The load capacity of no less than 3 transport vehicles.

2. The layout of the screening workshop

1) The layout of the vibrating screen should be designed with an inspection platform around its equipment.

2) The workshop should be closed, and the vibrating screen equipment itself should be sealed to avoid a large amount of dust overflow during screening.

3) Convenient for dust collection treatment of dusty gas.

3. Finished product yard layout

In response to environmental protection policies, finished aggregates can be stored in sheds or warehouses. To reduce the secondary dust during the storage of the shed, if the terrain height difference is available during the layout, try to design the loading belt conveyor under the material pile.

The above are some suggestions for equipment selection and workshop layout measures in the design of sand and gravel aggregate production line, I hope it will be helpful to everyone!
