Filter plates are a key component of a filter press. A filter press is a mechanical device that uses a special filter medium and applies pressure to cause liquid to permeate out. Filter presses extract solids from a mixture, achieving solid-liquid separation.

1. The filter plates of a chamber filter press are approximately 60-85mm thick and square in shape. The filter plate has two concave sides, with a depth of about 25mm. This allows the filter plates to make good contact with the filter cake produced during the filtration process, thereby supporting the filter cake.
2. There is a hole in the middle of the filter plate of a chamber filter press, called the feed pipe, which is generally 100mm in diameter. Drainage holes are provided at the bottom or around the recess, which are connected to drainage pipes to discharge the filtered liquid from the equipment. Both sides are identical. Generally, two filter cloths are used as a set, connected in the middle by a filter cloth cylinder that is slightly smaller than the holes in the filter plate. This way, the filter press plate can be well contained.
3. The filter plates of the box-type filter press are made of reinforced polypropylene, which is high in strength, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, and odorless. It features both electrical and hydraulic control systems. Hydraulic equipment is used to power the pressing and releasing of the filter plates, with a pressing pressure of 25 MPa.
